The 10-time Grammy Award winner, Taylor Swift, releases a double surprise album in 2020 entitled, ‘evermore‘. This album comes a little less than five months after the July 24th release of her eight studio album, ‘folklore‘. Due to the pandemic forcing cancelations of live music; Taylor has spent time this summer crafting these two records, to cap off her ninth music project.
Taylor stated via her instagram page, “To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in.”
Dubbed as a dynamic and experimental project by critics; Taylor Swift narrates her story throughout ‘evermore’ blending indie and folk sounds. Furthermore, infused into the primary genres of alternative and chamber rock. Swift’s line-up of guest appearances features American bands Bon Iver, Haim, and the National.
