Music Content Writer Intern

Job Description:

TheBuzzinBox is looking for a highly skilled, conceptual, innovative and creative music content writer intern to join TheBuzzinBox.com team. The qualified candidate will write music reviews for mainstream and aspiring music artists with new albums, singles, music videos, and performances. The candidate may be required to attend events to watch performances and do a write-ups. We are looking for several writers to focus on one particular genre: Pop, R&B/Soul, Hip Hop, Country, Rock, Gospel, Reggae, Jazz, Latin and more.

• Currently enrolled in accredited College or University full or part-time and pursing an undergraduate or masters degree 
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• A strong familiarity with various genres of music and the people who make the music
• Comfortable with a sudden music releases and willing to respond to breaking music news
• Ability to identify big stories and find clever, funny, and unique angles on them
• Experience writing long think-pieces for thorough music reviews
• Familiarity with different social media environments and understanding of how to target stories to them
• Ability to spot trends and generate ideas for other writers and larger projects
• Fluency with images, GIFs
• Knowledge of SEO
